Health Check Simulation
Learn about health through play! Assist the doctor in performing a full body check-up for Taylor, from measuring height to checking her heartbeat.
About Health Check Simulation
Health Check Simulation is an educational "Body-Systems" game that focuses on preventative medicine and regular wellness exams. Unlike "Illness Care," this game is about a healthy Baby Taylor going for her annual physical. It emphasizes "Metric Tracking"โmeasuring height, weight, eyesight, and hearing. The game provides a detailed look at how a healthy body functions and the importance of routine check-ups. It is a structured, informative experience designed to promote "Health Literacy" through interactive mini-games.
How to Play
Assist the school nurse or clinic doctor in performing a full wellness check. The gameplay is a series of "Diagnostic Stations." In the "Vision Station," you must help Taylor identify the correct letters on the eye chart. At the "Growth Station," you manually adjust the scale to find her weight. The game also includes a "Hearing Test" where you must tap the screen when Taylor hears a sound in her headphones. Each station completed adds to the "Wellness Certificate" that Taylor receives at the end of the game.
Tips & Tricks
High scores are based on "Measurement Accuracy." On the scale and height meter, you must stop the slider exactly on the line to earn a "Perfect Measurement" bonus. During the "Reflex Test," your own reaction time determines the score. To maximize your total points, complete the "Health Quiz" at the end of the exam; answering the nurse's questions about healthy eating and exercise correctly will provide a massive multiplier to your final wellness score.
